called neuro DR today, husbands SX not improving, we were told to go to ER to meet another one of the providers in the neuro group.
Upon arrival to ER, the nursing staff triaged my husband, took his vitals, and placed a mask on his face. I asked them "why the mask?" they said it is for precautions i asked for what and was told that the neuro DR thinks he may have meningitis. I was a little upset by this, my husband has no SX that represent meningitis. His temp was 97 oral, the only neck pain was over the area on his thyroid where we now know there is a mass of some kind, HA, dizziness, fatigue.
the dr came in to see us, she never reviewed the CA US , she wanted to do a LP on my husband and we both did not want it done because he did not have SX of meningitis, she pretty much said he was having rebound HA's and for him to stop the pain meds, so what he is to suffer......we were so mad......she left the room to come back 30 minutes later to tell us that she was going to order blood work, and she reviewed the CA US report and that it was very concerning to go to family DR to get the thyroid taken care of..........
so here we go again,......
