I don't understand

Feb 18, 2008 03:46PM - 15 comments

Why would God take a baby from her parents? Why didn't our prayers work? Why would God inflict pain and suffering on such an innocent little baby? I don't understand. In memory of Daphanie, who died of injuries sustained in a car accident on 2/9/08. Rest in peace little Angel. 8/2007-2/16/08.

I know it's not fair and it's hard in life when things like this happen. And it's hard not to question God at times like these. My prayers also go out to the Family and loved ones who knew this baby angel.

by jenshim, Feb 19, 2008 01:33PM
Yes, the roads were really bad. A semi hit their mini van. Daphanie held on for a week and then passed Saturday night due to severe damage to her brain ):

Wow I didn't hear about this Jen, guess I was away for awhile.  I cannot imagine how the family was coping, just watching Nadezdha and knowing that they were/are about the same age.  My heart and prayers goes out to the family.

God didn't do this. It's all because we live in a fallen world. Jesus always had a special love for children. He said the children's angels always see the face of God. Rest assured she's in the arms of Jesus now. The hardest part is those left behind. I can't even imagine the grief they are going through. My thoughts and prayers are with them. I pray God will comfort them and bring them a measure of peace.

What a tragedy for the family, Jen.  I'm so sorry.

Yes, it is a tragedy and I still haven't been able to share photos of Brody with Steph (Daphani's mother). I feel like I'm bragging that I still have my baby. I figure that she will ask to see pictures of him when she's ready.

You're a very kind and sensitive friend. She is lucky to have you as a friend.
