My name is Janis and I have suffered anxiety I beleave because I have been left on benzos, ativan 4 over 30years, plus I was on Tranzene for the same time and they withdrew this drug last year to my dismay. but I suffer with what I call my funny head. no pain it just feels queer and stops me doing all the things I would love to enjoy, Is there anyone out there that suffers anxiety I would love to hear from you.

Janis I am sorry to hear about your involuntary dependence to Ativan I KNOW!!!, what you are going through and it is very hard.... All these doctors just push meds on people and expect their patients to suffer with repracussions of there mistake..... It saddens me..... To see other people going through what I am going through an involuntary dependence... Don't get me wrong not all doctors are bad.... There are some that are very cautious with what pills can be prescribed and how long, but I myself have never met one.... I have been on probalby every Psych med there is for my OCD and now I am fighting to get off not one BUT TWO very powerful benzos...... Anxiety sucks but it can be hindered with the right therapy..... There is still hope for us ANXIETY SUFFERERS!!!!!!!! 30 years is quite awhile to be on Ativan.... Have you ever discussed with your doc the possibility of getting off.... If you are comfortable being on it that's fine too.... I know I am not..... I am currently 3/4's of the way off mine and can't wait to tackle the other one......
