I think the UTI is still with me, dammit.  I am drinking heaps of water but the funny thing is that I'm not really getting a flow on, if you know what I mean...  At this stage no burning or stinging, just frequent need to urinate but not passing much water.  That's how it started last time. Sigh.  Will see how I go for the next few hours and if there is no improvement I'll have to go back to the Doc.

I guess it could be possible that because I have low WBC and Neuts it is harder for my body to get on top of the infection, despite having had a 3 day course of antibods.  I have read that it can take anywhere from 10 days to 3 months to get rid of a persistent UTI and that women who are going through menopause are more susceptible.  I reckon I score pretty high on the risk list then.

I'm also using the alkaliniser and cranberry but not much is helping.  Also feeling quite wasted from Friday's shot.  It's a beautiful day outside but I can only look at it cos going out in it causes my skin to feel radiated immediately and the heat makes me nauseous.

I thought the second 6 months of tx was going to be just more of the same, but it appears that there are still more side effect surprises on the way... Joy!!

Ouch.... this doesn't sound comfortable at all. I find with antibiotics in general, it always takes about 3 days after one is finished for things to start clearing up. So maybe that's what's happening. HOPEFULLY!

Hugs and get well.

Hi Epihpiny - I am drinking heaps too but I think because it is so hot that the dehydration effects are perhaps worsened.  I am drinking more and urinating less as well.  Also not feeling as good as I was before it got so hot this last week. I reckon if the bladder infection is not gone, go back to the doc as asap - we cannot afford to be too sick for too long is how I see it. I have also had the experience of things not getting better completely until the course of antibiotics is finished. Jankar
