I'm 29 and just had my 5th miscarriage and could use some advise. I have had 3 miscarriages at 12, 10 and 8 weeks before I had my 2 daughters. I used clomid that I got from Mexico with the 3rd miscarriage and my 4th pregnancy. I also used progesterone suppositories, 200mg twice a day and had my daughter 6 weeks early. I got pregnant again 11 months later and used the progesterone and had a full term baby girl. I have had 2 more miscarriages in the past year, both at 8 weeks and I used the same progesterone suppositories both times. My 4th miscarriage was a partail molor pregnancy, but this last one was not and I don't understand why this keeps happening. My husband and I have had genetic testing and everything is normal.  My dr says it's bad luck, keep trying and the insr we have now doesn't cover infertility or specialist. We would really like one more and we also want to bank the cord blood for my husband who had cancer a couple of years ago. Does anyone have any advice or stories to help?

Hi apface!

I'm so sorry to hear about your pregnancy losses. I've had two myself, and no children yet. We're also without coverage for fertility-related expenses. I went to an RE today and paid out of pocket, and she wants me to do IUIs or IVF with injectibles, which will cost up to $12,500 per try, but I'm worried that even if it works, and I do get pregnant, I'll end up having another miscarriage. It's just frustrating!

I was actually doing a search on here for "miscarriage" and "tests" and came across your journal entry. I'm sorry I can't be of more help. Do you post on the fertility forum? You might be able to get a lot more comments if you post this over there.

Take care!
