Doctor Visit, Monday, Dec. 15th

Whew! 17 weeks, 5 days and ALL IS WELL!! It still surprises me everyday that everything is going smoothly with this pregnancy. I just feel so blessed!! I had a perinatologist appointment today which was again with Dr. Stedman, who I love! First he checked my cervix which is about 3 1/2 cm which is GREAT! I was so afraid I was going to need a stitch due to some past complications, but as of right now I'm great! He said anything above 2cm is wonderful. He even kind of pressed on me to make sure it wasn't opening and it wasn't. I'm so relieved because that's been weighing on my mind since I got pregnant. After having a close friend lose one of her two sons preterm due to an incompentent cervix I have seen how horrifying and also how easily fixable that situation is.
So our baby boy is 8oz! Which I have been reminded is a full cup...lol! So I have a full cup of baby inside me! He was very chilled out for this ultrasound and was in an odd position, so we didn't get very many good pictures. And just because we found out so early at 14 weeks that he was a boy, we made sure he's still a boy!
ALSO! I felt him kick Saturday night! I've felt the flutters about three different times beginning at 15 weeks, but Saturday night was like, "OMG!! THAT WAS REALLY HIM!!" He kicked about 5-6 times in a row. The first time he kicked I really started paying attention, then he did it again which took my breath away because it was a feeling of amazement I can't even explain. The third time he did it I had my hand on my belly just incase and I felt it on my fingertips! I grabbed Brady's hand and placed it on my belly to see if he could feel it, but that little sucker moved away and stopped kicking. The last three times he kicked was when Brady had his hand on my stomach, but I could feel the kicks moving from that original spot.
So everything's going wonderfully and my next appointment is in 4 weeks on January 12th. I can't wait!! Here's one pic and I have a few more I posted in my album.
