Yea-ah! 32 down, 16 to go!! Hehe, it's like revisiting my teens again!! Suddenly 16 seems like a very small number, and by the time I go back to work next year there will only be 12. Wow!!
Oddly enough, I had a pretty instant reaction to my shot last night. Fever, snotty nose, sneezing, aches, and jelly knees that wouldn't hold me up. Had to go to bed within 30 minutes. Suspect it was a combo of finally finishing work for the year (oh how good that feels!!) and extreme fatigue as well as the interferon hit.
I have NO IDEA how I have managed to keep pushing myself to work some days. I do know I have incredible determination (I'm a Capricorn with a Scorpio ascendant) but when I look back at the year of working while txing and nursing my mother for 5 months after her spinal surgery I shake my head and wonder if it was really me or an alternate me living in a parallel universe. It's amazing how we humans get through things and despite how hard it is at the time, when it is over it just feels like a distant dream as we move on to our next challenge...
Anyway, what a gift it is going to be to just 'be' for the next 3 weeks and I am soooo looking forward to it!
Not feeling too bad today, going to bed early helped although I had a restless night due to the fever and coughing throughout the night. Slept for about 10 hours and hubby made me one wicked cuppa java for me this morning!
It is also clearly the morning-after-the-shot-the-night-before as I am waxing philosophical and feeling a little emotional. Aaaaah, interferon!
