Well ive been on Depo for about 1.6 years. I was suppose to get my shot in Feb 14 2008 and i didnt but on Jan 19th i had sex and didnt use any pertection. Now ive been spotting alot. i havent had a period since ive been on depo  ivebeen late a couple times and got a full period. But this time is different im just spottin andmy nipples were sore(very painful ive never had a pain like that) for a couple of days, they even hurt in the shower.. Then the pain has went away but now my nipples have gotten darker.but  in a couple of days they went back to normal............. Could i be pregnant or could it be just a side affect from depo??? Please Help

well yeah pregnancy could be a strong possibility. my nipples were really sore and tender in the shower and thats when i first suspected i was pregnant, and sure enough i was. now im 5 months and my nipples have gotten darker throught out my pregnancy. but girl dont freak out because the depo is a REALLY trickey birth control, i would suggest you'd get off of it anyways because as much as we hate our period it is unhealthy to not get it. when i was on the depo i had assists on my ovaries and everything. my homgirl was also on it for about a year and a half and now for the past 4 years she and her boyfriend have been trying to get pregnant and cant seem to do it. she thinks it might have made her  sterile...... girl theres alot those doctors dont tell us when we go for that shot.....so be careful, but make a doctors appointment and find out. if you need anymore advice just holla
