Xmas day was great but I don't feel at all well today.  Just sick sick sick to my stomach.  I suspect I am dehydrated so I'm trying to guzzle water and electrolytes. I basically forgot to drink any water most of the day yesterday. I also think it's that classic thing we do when treating, totally overdo things one day and spend the next day recovering.

There was sooo much rich food yesterday and since being on treatment all I have been eating is fresh fish, vegetables, brown rice and porridge.  Also, there was a Xmas pud of which I had a reasonable amount that, I realized after I had eaten it, had been soused in brandy and had a brandy butter on the side.  Brandy!  Alcohol!  Mixed with these meds.

I know it's a no-no on treatment and I have no problem with that but with all the hype and craziness of Xmas day, so many people and small children, I just didn't think about the alcohol factor.  I have been so focused on 'doing it right' for the past 7 months that I haven't even been using wine in any cooking, and while I had a champagne glass for toasts, not a drop passed my lips.

To be honest, I feel bummed out, and feel I have let myself down, albeit completely by accident...  I so hope it will be OK...

I have discovered that ginger root capsules are great for relieving an upset tummy.

So glad you had a lovely Xmas. I don't think there could have been *that* much brandy on the Xmas pudding? (Of course I don't know anything about Xmas pudding, but still . . . ).

Don't worry about the alcohol if the food is baked or cooked.  It evaporates during the cooking process.  If it was added for flavoring to the pudding, I'm sure it was slight and will not hurt you.  Don't feel guilty Epi it really isn't anything to worry about.
