Lucy 06-18-12

Lucy got her stitches removed this evening.  Everything looks good.  She still has some scabs, but they will fall by themselves.  Lucy is back to herself, pushing me as I am typing this.

Lucy is even better than before.  Yesterday, she enjoyed some time on the deck and in the backyard.  When it was time to go back in, Lucy decided to sneak through the neighbor's fence and stare at us from the other yard.  No success to get her.  She even went to the building basement as the door was opened.  We would have left her there as she would have come back later, but with her stitches and no collar (did not put the collar back as we did not want it to get in the way of the stiches), we had to find a way to find her.

We went to the neighbors and ask them for access to their backyard.  Luckily, someone was home.  As soon as the neighbor stepped in the basement to come out and open the side gate to the yard, Lucy ran back home.  She has been enjoying the backyard for about 13 years. She sometimes went to neighbor;s yard but always came back upon being called.  That's why we know that she feels much, much better.
