Another new medication....

Went to the Dr. today and he took me off the Lyrica, because I have gained so much weight. I was really upset because I really liked that med for the fibromyaligia. But I have to admit I dont like the weight either, and I know I have gained alot. He put me on Carbatrol, which I still have to look up and do some research on it, have no idea what its for. But otherwise the pain has been alot better untill now we will see since he took me off the Lyrica. Now if I can get the Migraines under control I would be great! I can tell when the rain is coming, or its going to get cold. I have been having them darn thing atleast 1 time a week. Some I can handle but the ones that feel like your brain is about to blow up in your head, are the ones I cant handle. Then I want to go to the hospital to get a shot or something but the hospital is like 35 mins away and you really dont feel like riding in a car, while your getting sick ( which makes your head pound harder) then wait in the waiting room for hours and so on...... I am sure you all been there. And I dont have a spleen, so every cold, strep throat, or anything that crosses my path. So I try my hardest just to deal with the migraine, take the meds, put an ice pack on my head and try to go to sleep.  Well I hope you all are feeling good or better.
