Preparing in the middle of great halloween parades at school, teaching little ones about bones, trick or treating at the local nursing home, and finishing the night at church where we have an ALCF "trunk or treat" where folks will dress up their cars and thow candy from their trunks... the best kind of tailgating.
We have 4 MDs, one Nurse Practicioner, and a lay volunteer, all in the course of the 16 hours since they called us and asked us to come. If this is going to work, it'll be by the grace of God.
We're looking into getting a supply of Tdap (tetanus) and flu shots now.
Really looking forward to helping out, and amazed at the outpouring of support:
- my youngest brother donated to MPPC
- a RN from my neighborhood can go but doesn't have the funds for the air ticket
- friends from facebook are asking how they can help, and a friend from LA may come.
Will let you know more as we get more organized.
