Friday 4th Jan 2008 - A day that will live in infamy (For me at least) .... After a week of being the person on call (24 hours), during a Major Medical Aid's year end Roll-over. (Which basically means work work and more work or Stress, Stress and more Stress), I finally get a chance to Relax and enjoy some quality time with my better half.

Around 11.30pm I decide its time to hit the sack and I get off the couch and head into the bedroom...
I was feeling a little light headed around this time but I tought that that was just due to my getting up off the couch too fast.
After removing my contact lenses (I do tend to keep them on for too long), I suddenly felt very dizzy and felt like I was about to fall. I managed to get onto the bed, called out to my wife and tried not to move, as every little movement brought on more nausea/dizziness. My heart was thumping in my chest and the words HEART ATTACK were screaming in my head.

Not knowing what was wrong I decided to try and sleep it off. Drinking the cold water my wife handed me helped a little and trying not to move helped a bit as well ... so I decided to try to stand up and walk it off. Standing was a bit of a problem especially when my legs started to shake uncontrollably, a little at first but more pronounced as time went on spreading to my whole body for short periods. This contraction of my muscles caused some pain in my legs. The Praying around this point became even more fervent... Lets see symptoms (Dizziness, Sweating Hot Flashes, Pain in the Arm, Pounding Pulse, Palpitations ... yup HEART ATTACK)

I then decided it was time to go for emergency help before I was unable to move.  --- Mo Next TIme
