I'm having orthopaedic surgery on Monday the 19th. I have been under anesthesia in recent years for surgeries and other rprocedures, but nothing requiring intubation. I am really anxious because I've seen people fight the tube and having to keep it in because they are not concious enough/breating on their own yet. I also know you can wake up scared and disoriented, especially when under a deeper anesthesia with a paralytic.

Can anyone please put my mind at ease. (Try not to scare me further, eeeeek).

Thank you so much. I hope you got my note!!! I'm more anxious as it gets closer, but I know the prayers are going to get me through.
