I was diagnosed about a year ago with herniated cervical discs and bone spurs and the surgeon said I was not a candidate for surgery(good news I thought). My primary doc referred me to a pain specialist for steroid sight injections, but the relief only lasted about two weeks,so the specialist suggested I may be a good candidate for Radiofrequency Lesioning,a procedure which uses electrical current to deaden the nerves. After doing my homework on the Internet and being told by one of the docs that it was relatively painless decided to try it.The "test" procedures went ok,but the actual procedure was very painful during the operation and,in my case produced no relief, actually adding to the intensity of my pain. Now it seems I'm back to where I started.
