I went to the GP today. He's looking well, his cancer treatment must be working. I was given all my scripts for Propanolol, Rabeprazole and Sinemet.
He also gave me a certificate to have a month off work. I'm very fatigued and it's starting to show. I have skin lesions which aren't healing, my hair is thinning and I have dark circles under my eyes.
I rang my boss and told her. She was fine with it and I'm going to use some of my long service leave so I still have an income. My leave will end on Friday the 13th of Feb (Black Friday) which means I can work the weekend and get the extra shift penalties.
My father went to the cardiologist today. He says the doctor told him he was doing very well and that he didn't need the surgery at the moment. (what rubbish, as if I believe that...Dad doesn't want the surgery and the hospital is happy to have one less person on the waiting list)
Next thing is Mum to the vascular surgeon on the 21st. I don't think things will be good there but I'll wait and see.
I'm going to try and get the garden in order on my time off and maybe a trip to the Gold Coast early one morning to have a walk along the beach and watch the sun rise. I also want to have a trip to the casino, just to waste some hard earned money. Maybe I'll win a little like last year.
I'll have to justify the sick certificate and do the right thing and rest a lot.
I took my dogs to the vet today for their yearly, heartworm and vaccination needles. Tina also had a needle for arthritis to help strengthen the cartilage in her good leg. She has to go back weekly for the next 3 weeks. She weighs 7.8 kgs....down from 8.6 Gidget weighs 9.8 kgs I think she has dropped almost a kilo as well.
Kevin, the vet, is impressed with the weight loss and says that it'd be good to get Tina a bit thinner but Gidget is trim, taut, and terrific.
I'm going to have a glass of wine to celebrate being able to sleep in for the next month and then a shower and off to bed nice and early to read my new book.....LUXURY
