I am a little over 6 months post tx with Incivek, Peg and Riba
The hair loss was very bad for me this time.  While the last time I had all over thinning that I could take care of with trimming the ends, this time I ended up with bald spots over the ears and the entire back of my head had very short broken off hairs.

3 months post tx it was still falling out. it was devastating to me, I never realized how much importance I placed on my hair.  It was part of my identity.
I started using Nioxin level 4 but it dried my hair out.  So I switched to a more moisturizing Nioxin product.  It did help, I slowly started noticing less and less hair falling out.  I wanted to try something that would help my hair grow faster.  I started taking Hair, Skin, Nails vitamins with extra Biotin.

I found a site that sold a product which had been invented in Germany for people going through chemo.  On the site are some studies.   I have been using for 5 weeks or so, putting drops where the bare spots on, lightly rub in.  I noticed this week that where I had a receding hair line, there are now very tiny hairs growing back in, they are about 1/4 inch which means that all over my head hair is regrowing where there was no hair.
From what I read if the follicle is still active it will regrow hair.  This  product has been around for many years, is called Thymuskin Gel and I buy it from www.thymusking.com because they offer free shipping as well as free vitamins for hair called Advecia.  It is expensive however worth it to me because I need my hair back for my self esteem.  Once I get it started I should be able to decrease the amount of the product that I put on my scalp and it will continue to grow.  I compare it to a "kick start" for the follicles.
There is a good description on this site

UPDATE, it is now December 30th, my hair is coming in curly, I have about 4 inches of very thick curly hair.
I am so happy to have my hair back.  Saying that I would still trade my hair for a healthy liver any time.
It does come back, sometimes even better than before

The studies can be found on this site

Good information! I have been getting Derm Organix which has no laureth sulfate or laural sulphate in it. Those ingredients dry out hair n not too good. Hairdresser lady got me the stuff on line. Keratin or Biotin is the key! Mine has grown in from the area in front of ears, crown in back of head under top hair and receding hairline has grown about a half inch a month. Been using the products for about 3 months now n have to say, new growth coming in wavy but old hair still kinda stiff n strawy. Has gotton a lot better! I spray Miracle 10 with keratin on the hair as a leave in spray even after derm Organix conditioner. It doesn't grown back quick enuf but it has grown about 3" in past 11 months since tx ended.

Dear Star, so happy to hear from you!  I lost so much hair over my ears and the back and some receding.
Thank you for the information on you have been using.  I am having same, wavy hair growing in, about 2 to 3 inches and really dried out hair the rest of the length.  The new growth is helping my attitude :)
Thanks for sharing.
