So, I was diagnosed with MS in june of this year. When I told my best friend, a Biology Major and Sonographer, she told me I needed to get pregnant. Being that we already have 5 children, and I am 35, I told her SHE needs to get pregnant!! She is 27 and has only one child! lol

Wouldn't you know that within days, DAYS, I was pregnant?? Not intentionally, mind you.... My husband has been getting treatment for Lymphoma for the last 3 years, and his Oncologist told us that we would not be able to conceive without the help of a fertility specialist. BUT when I began craving fish tacos with Italian dressing, I ran out and bought a test... Sure enough: Positive!

That was about 10 weeks ago....

As soon as I found out I had MS, I went on a whole foods, gluten-free diet, trying to avoid poking myself daily, and felt great. As soon as I found out I was pregnant, I began craving bread, croutons, chips... weird things for me... And in all of my pregnancies, I was never really sick. With this one, I've thrown up EVERYTHING I have eaten for weeks. FINALLY, the nausea has subsided, and I can keep my food down. I'm going to go back on the gluten-free diet this week.

I know they say that pregnancy helps the MS symptoms.... I have found that to be true. Although, I am still having symptoms, they are far more mild and short-lasting than they used to be. This is encouraging to me. :)
