please help

Tomorrow I will have light sedation for a my SI Joint Injection procedure. The 15th I am being put to sleep for surgery to get a Hickman Catheter. I take a lot of sedating medication for my anxiety and now my autonomic instability. I am not going to wake up! I am going to stop breathing! Something! I am so scared!

Please help me. I haven't seen a Therapist yet. My appointments with her keep getting cancelled for things like this. I am seriously going to die!

awww sorry to hear you feel bad....here's what I would do its called Visualisation'   focus on something happy that has happened in your life actually picture it in your mind, it could be an event of a birthday , if you find that hard focus on a great scenery, a garden or a beach something special. Make your self go back yo it each time you bfeel panicky and tell yourself its okay I am alright, nothing is happening. You could do this when they are applying the sedation, I use this method to get to sleep it nearly always works for me .Stay busy ..keeps those thoughts from dwelling on negative stuff ..good luck let me know how you are doing ...
