Well, talked about life's challages in a previous journal. As many of you know, I run alot to cope with anxiety (even though alot of it stems from fear of a heart attack and other health realted issues). I had a chunk taken out of my back because a biopsy came back abonormal (not cancerous), and the doc wanted to get 'cleaner margins' and dig a little deeper to make sure everything was cleaned out. Of course, the darn stitches are on my back/shoulder blade where I am not allowed to lift anything heavy, or even swing my arms to run because I I could end up ripping the stitches! On top of that, have to take antibiotics, and as all of you know, us health related anxiety sufferes don't want more pills that don't agree with us, but alas, trust the doctors!:)
Ok, so life you gives you lemons, time to make lemonade. I went for a 90 minute walk through a park yesterday as a substitute for running. I actually got to stop and enjoy my surroundings, talk with other people, and take in the sights and sounds. My point is, each little (or large) challange can be used for the better and be turned into an advantage or a new experience. I actually have more anxiety walking than I do running (long story), but I had new experiences to take in and that makes it all worthwile.
So, the lemonade tasted great (and I really don't even like the stuff!)
