Just on my third day off Vicodin and starting to feel better.

I have used Vicodin off and on for twenty years now. The amount I'm taking for relief now is about 20 to 30mg to get pain relief. Unfortunately I also like the high and get and abuse the pain medication taking my prescription for 70 in 2-3 days. My doctor has refrerred me to pain management clinic and feels I should go methedone. I am scared to take the Methedone as I'm afraid I'll overdose trying to get the high but I do need pain management. Anyone have any expierence with Methedone?
