Have realised that meds don't work. I have been very lax with diet, hoping medication would fix the bp problem. No time to shop after work so end up eating store cupboard food instead of fresh. I have decided that the only way I can expect to lower my Bp is to lose weight. Thankfully, whatever weight I do lose, stays off due to job activity. Use stairs at work instead of lift. Get a good night's sleep. Leave the chocolate and snacks alone at night. Have 2-3 days wineless days per week.
