Can I have Children?

I have been desiring to have a child for the past year or so.  I just got married four months ago, and my husband and I
want to start a family right away.  I was told by a nurse practitioner, not a real doctor, that I had a cyst on my right ovary.  She told me that it shouldn't give me a lot of problems, but she was wrong.  I have excruciating cramps everytime I have my cycle.  I have gained a lot of weight from it.  I don't understand.  I should go to a real doctor to find out what I need to do to have it corrected.
