unexplained diarrhea

My 2yr old grandson has had diarrhea off and on (mostly on) since August 2007. It causes burns on his buttox that actually burn holes in his skin. This is Not your everyday diarrhea and subsequent "diaper rash". It is bright green and  I don`t know how else to explain it but to call it Caustic poop soup. It happens regardless of diet. Thought maybe a milk allergy but still there after 2wks of no milk. At its worst he is unable to eat and is losing weight. Dr. is shrugging it off but doesn`t have a clue how miserable he is. Hasn`t had a happy moment since I can remember. Used to be a delightful, chubby child and has been reduced to one who cannot leave the house and can`t take part in Christmas, birthdays, anything. He`s losing out on his childhood not to mention the personality change. Somebody please help. We tried to take him to another Dr. but since he`s on medicaid they require a reference from present Dr. who refuses to address it. I suspect something like rotovirus but would appreciate some actual medical advice.Thanx.

My grandbaby gets a major diaper rash if her diaper isn't changed immediately after she voids. I think this has something to do with an internal problem. I don't know if this website is naturopathic friendly, but I'm hoping so. I bought an aloe jell and a good zinc oxide plus natural ingredients from my local pharmacy that is also into naturopathic medicine.

There are two dogs in the family that rule the furniture. I think she has some type of parasite which makes her skin more reactive to any acidic state.

Any thoughts?
