i like reece michael....

I LOVE Reece Michael!  Maybe because I'm partial to Reece.  My maiden name is Reece and DH and I have Reece Hewett picked out when and if we have a boy.

We have Emma Grace for a girl.  Zoe Elizabeth is cute too!

My DD is Lily Grace.  Emma Grace is really sweet, I like it.  

The Elizabeth part of Zoe Elizabeth is a tribute to my DP's mom, Elizabeth.

Nice names - my DD is Sofia Elisa.
But isn't it  bit early to start thinking about names? With DD I remember I was determined to wait until at least the first 3 months were up....

We thought about Sophia and Ava as some of our girl names too, but DP decided that he wanted something more soccer girl than ballerina.  Guess I'm destined to have a tomboy if its a girl.

Of course its too early to start thinking of names....but I was dreaming before I even got my BFP.  LOL.  We've already bought some girl and boy clothes.  

For me, I think it helps me to believe...to not lose hope...to get attached...I hope that all of the positive energy that it creates will be a wonderful basis for my little peanut to keep growing.  (smile)

Yeah, I know what you mean! I did have some names swimming around in my head though, if I'm honest, even before the first 3 months were up! In fact if I'm really REALLY honest I have one or two ideas already without being anywhere near a BFP (and still have 2ww before next IUI even!!!!).
Sofia Elisa - why? it had to be a name that was the same in both English and Italian (DH is Italian and we live in Italy!). At least you don't have the translation process to go through!!! Actually, it probably makes it worse as the choice is even bigger - and there are sooooo many nice names to choose from aren't there?

And my problem is that the names that I've always liked are soooo popular now.

Lily, Sophia, Ava, Addison, Grace.....I even like Giselle.  I love those soft luminous type names....even if my she will be a soccer player...LOL

I agree with you 100% about getting attached.  Now coming up to my third try at IVF I'm getting scared of getting attached but in the back of my mind I can't help thinking that an emotional attachment is almost as good as a physical one.  I know how silly that is but there you have it.
I've actually had an excel spreadsheet with a variety of the names I really like (for boys and for girls) and the ones I'm not sure about and I've even listed the ones I used to like and don't anymore in case I start wondering about them again... Can I BE more anal????

I'm clueless as to which names are becoming popular in the U.S. but you mentioned Ava... what about Eva?  Similar but not the same.  Or Ella?  That's a soft name, if I understood what you meant correctly.
If you're interested in Italian names, I've always liked Paula and Claudia (pronounced Pow-la and Cloud-ia).

Sam lives in Italy so I was telling her that Gianna is an Italian sounding name that is getting popular here in the US.

There are tons of websites that talk about what's hot for 2008 an the naming trends from 2007.

Personally, I like Ava better than Eva...not a big fan of Ella, but I like Elaina and calling her Laney.

Yah...don't worry about being anal...I'm right there with ya.

Gianna (short for Giovanna - over here, anyway, which is the female version of Giovanni (John)) - I really like it... what about Jenna - similar but maybe not so popular (or maybe it is in the US?).

Very nice names. I'm stuck with a tradition if we have a boy--Lawrence Joseph. Sorry but I hate "Larry" for a boy. Part of me wants to either nick name him or call him Law. I know..totally Hollywood but this is a non negotiable boy name thingy for me and my husband (tradition of name flopping in all the men in his family. One generation is a Lawrence Joseph, the next generation is a Vincent Lawrence).

My daughter name is Malena, which is an Italian Greek name not too popular but very pretty I actually got it from the movie Malena about a very beautiful Italian woman,  Malena Ava Grace would be pretty., For a boy the names you have picked either or would be great

My DP's friend that passed away was Gia and we thought of Gianna and Gia for short.

I'm still partial to Zoe and he still like Phoebe.  Well, at least we agree on the boys name.  LOL
