My doctor left to work on the other side of the state so im in the processes of finding myself a new one. But while i look i thought i would ask a few questions. I don't believe i am lactose intolerant but my friends and family swear i am. Im 18 and the past couple of years i have been experiencing stomach pains after consuming any type of dairy. It starts any way from 30 minutes to an hour after i eat or drink a dairy product. And its usually a moderate amount. I get stomach aches and pains and an extreme feeling of nausea, sometimes i even get really hot and have to lay down. But i have never actually thrown up over it. Nor have i ever experienced diarrhea or anything close to it. Now i have found myself wanting to throw up but i think is has been about 4 years since i have actually done so.
I know it sounds just like lactose intolerance but could it be something else? I have looked everywhere and never heard of mild fevers or no diarrhea.
Also i have tried lactaids and antacids they dont seem to work at all but in fact make things worse.
Should i be worried?
Thanks so much,
Alexis.
