I have been addicted vicodin for at least 3 years now and have stopped a few times but always seem to relapse because I don't want to feel the pain of my life. I just keep trying though and eventually it will stick because I don't want my son to end up like me.

I am really concerned about sticking to my new life style. I don't know if I will always be able to maintain it. I am not sure where to go from here. I am sure that I could use additional help to stick to this but since I live in the middle of nowhere there isn't an NA. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

Hi Again,
It's so nice to meet people who understand.Yes this forum is a great thing you can do.I stayed clean and sober for almost 9 years with very few meetings.. Honestly this forum is like a meeting it has already helped me . I think it's all all about supporting each other . With young kids and a husband It;s hard to get out to a meeting but if I would have had this back when the airbag cut my arm I might not have relapsed. who knows

Hey. Is there any type of AA or anthing? If there is, see if the meeting organizer can be accommodating and include you. It's not quite the same, but don't all addictions run the same course?
