Back pain

I have been having a consent back pain. I'm really unsure if this is normal. They gave me Tylenol 3 for the pain but am trying to not take it because it makes me sleepy and I have to work during the day so no time for a nap. I'm trying to stay positive that it's just my body preparing itself. The Dr said it was nothing to worry about since I'm not spotting/bleeding. I am starting to wonder if it's b/c I sit at a desk all day at work. Have tried sitting with a pillow behind my back hoping it will help but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. If anyone has any suggestion please feel free to share. Thanks

You most probably pulled something (a muscle or tendon) in your back and yes sitting all day can do it. Heat gives good relief, massage. It shouldn't last longer than two weeks. How did the doctor put a back pain with your period?? That is odd. Where is the pain located? Does it feel like a pulled muscle or is it in your kidneys or where, also how long has it gone on? Is your seat at work adjustible? Your kidneys hurt down low in the small of your back. If the pain continues see a doctor and if you think it may be your kidneys see someone now. Pas heat pads work well for muscle pain. Good luck.

He wasn't putting it with my period because of being preg was just saying that if I was spotting/bleeding then to be concerned. it doesn't feel like a pulled muscle. It seems like my mid-lower back. I have my first apt on Wed so if I still have the pain will be asking the Dr.
