Overdid the physical exertion yesterday - suffering now

Feb 04, 2013 - 4 comments

Yesterday morning felt really good. Did a heap of things. Started feeling queasy in the afternoon so took my first nausea tab in preparation for the dancing lesson later on in the evening. Dancing lesson was fun. Felt really good but towards the end started to feel a bit tired. By the time I got home I was so exhausted. Felt like I had full on flu!!!
Still tired this morning so took the day off work. Stayed in bed till 2pm.
Lesson learnt. Even though you may feel fine one minute, don't overdo anything physical else you will suffer later.

Yep, pretty much :) I have done the same after my first week. Went to a birthday party for a few hours on high heels and dancing and second day I was paying for it. It is a roller coaster as many were saying. I learned that even if I feel well I will better conserve my energy as much as I can

I was feeling really good but somehow on Saturday couldn't move by the evening.  Went to bed really early and slept like a big baby under a ton of covers since I can't use heat.  Keep it at 58 in the house with bedroom window open to get the very cold night air.  Still have the rash and it appears to rear its ugly head when it feels like it.  Tired today but have a slow day at work so that helps.  My stomach is really sick for the first time today and the thought of food makes me queasy.  What excites me is the thought that Friday will start in to my 4th week and I get my labs Monday and find out the following Friday where I am.  So for now holding on to my hat for the ride of my life :-)

Take care!

As Diane said above, trt is a rollercoaster ride.  Some days you breeze through, while others you struggle.  Rest when you need it and try not to overdo things when you're feeling good.  Also, try not to become a couch potato and let your muscles turn to mush.  Staying "somewhat" active helped me get through trt.  Its the "somewhat" part thats tough to figure out.   And the rash can be a real game changer.  Do whatever you can to get it under control - the sooner, the better.  Good luck moving forward.

Hey good for you for trying. It does sound as if you may over overdone it tho. Working outside and walking my dogs kept me going during treatment (and my husband and dogs).  Listen to your body and learn what you can tolerate and others suggest: don't over do it. Hang in thereā™«
