So I don't forget where to re-read and re-watch all the mini video clips on this HBO link.  MANY heart moving, educational short clips videos to watch on EVERY aspect of addiction.  Answers LOTS of questions with the latest research out there and available.  Each link on the home page opens up even more pages with even more videos I could watch forever.  So much research has been done in the last 10-20 yrs.  So many myths out there.  Much info on why and how relaspe is so chronic, how to help ourselves with every aspect of recovery.  I feel blessed to have found it.  To truly understand as much as I can about my disease, the better equipped I can be to live with it.

A small excerpt from just one of the many links starts out saying, "Addiction is a chronic relapsing brain disease. Brain imaging shows that addiction severely alters brain areas critical to decision making, learning and memory,
and behaviors which may help to explain the compulsive and destructive behaviors of addiciton"

Tips on preventing relapse, tips for families of an addicts, more and more.  Great find....decided to journal it!
