In the past month or so I have really been trying to pay attention to what I eat and drink. It's been going a little better so far. Over the holidays I ate and drank way too much junk that my body did not appreciate. I am also very aware of my body image (which I know isn't something I should worry about blah, blah, blah), but I like it when I look a certain way and have a flat stomach, so sue me. I just started entering my meals/water intake today into the Diet Diary on the iPhone app. I think it will really help me concentrate and maintain/lose weight. I went to visit a friend out of town this past weekend and slipped up a little. I drank my first soda in probably 3 weeks, ate some candy and some gelato. Today I am back to a little healthier food. I am only 18 (19 in a month) and I really like the idea of staying healthy throughout my life. I grew up in a healthy household with fruits and vegetables always available. Now I am realizing that I haven't taken full advantage of that recently. I am currently (approximately) 120 pounds and I want to stay around that weight. It would be great if I could lose 2 or 3 pounds in the process, but we'll see. I am starting to exercise at least once a week (running mostly) and I try to drink at least 2 glasses of water a day. Hopefully I can build up to where I drink 5 or 6 glasses a day. I am not drinking soda for lent, and it's going well so far other than that one slip up when I was out of town (but it was only an 8 oz coke!). I hope to continue to maintain my health and weight.
