I bought a new pillow today. Hopefully this one will work. I have... 6 pillows on my bed if you don't count the new one, and NONE of them work. They ALL hurt me!!

2 obus forme - no support, supposed to be memory foam but doesn't feel like memory foam at all!

2 ikea - one WAY too firm. both WAY too "tall" for my shoulders/neck/head.

1 that came with my bed - a "standard-style" memory foam pillow... way too huge a pillow... i guess too "tall" again. and not cervical, no support, and no way to get support because it's a foam block!

1 buckwheat pillow - loved the little ones in japan that just went under the neck... that's why i thought this would work. large american style buckwheat pillow are awful. they are hard and uncomfortable and you wake up feeling like you have been attacked in the middle of the night. also, the texture does not mix well with a memory foam bed.

SO!!!! AS FOR THE NEW ONE???

It is an obus forme... but it is NOT foam. It is like a regular pillow, but it has cervical support. So, it's super soft. I don't know if the total softness will mean complete lack of support... but, hopefully total softness will mean less pain. We'll see. I don't really have my hopes up... but, I needed to try something new tonight so I didn't just feel like I wasn't doing anything.

I will probably end up spending thousands of dollars on pillows before I ever get a pain-free sleep...
