Well, I'm finally ready to back to work. I did not sleep much last night (maybe 2-3 hours?), which derailed my plans to return to work today. I felt like total sh*t! I've been fairly lucky with the sleep thing so far - I've been getting plenty.
Anyway, I went for a walk this morning and about 2:00 PM kind of took stock of How Things Stood So Far.
Biggest concern - still not eating much. I've lost 22 pounds in ONE WEEK people. WTF? I can eat a little of nearly all kinds of carbs, some simple protein (just got more edamame - yay) , but just not a lot of anything. I crave greens and I eat those. I just hope I don't start craving something... weird. I've been lucky - not many bowel issues. Everything is fine now.
My pain that I can identify as RA/Fibro pain - right now - is in all my pressure points (fibro) and the RA regions are localized here: ankles, knees (not bad though), hips (ouch), elbows (oooh ouch), wrists (OUCH!!! Stop typing melon-head). My neck and lower back are also hosed. Well, it's going to see how it mellows once this **** starts working its way out of my system more. You know how the pain meds will mimic the pain you take 'em for! Well, I'm waiting until 30 days to do anything unless the (new) rheumatologist tells me differently, but so far we are on the same page there.
I've also been tweaking the pain threshold because I am working out a little more, uh, enthusiastically, these days. Got to be a lil' more careful.
I'll see how I do with sleep tonight. I'm going offline in about 10 minutes to start gearing down for bed.
