I like things nice and neat. However, I sometimes get busy, and like many people I tend to accumulate papers.

One thing I have realized that helps me to keep my house/office clean is just prevention. I try not to make a mess in the first place. It's a lot easier to keep the house cleaned up than to clean it after a month of neglect.

Years ago I heard someone talk about cutting down clutter. He said, "If it will take 20 seconds or less just do it right then." This seems like such a small thing, but I believe this is key to keeping my house clean. I just do a lot of little chores all along the way.
