44 down, 5 weeks of riba left, time is getting short for me now, generally good despite getting slammed to the ground on Wednesday with a skill saw headache and fever, lasted 12 hours, then gone.

Starting to think about EOT strategies . Still have the extra shot to consider and with the Riba reduction thus far I will soon have enough Riba to treat one more week. It's either that or figure out a way to use the extra shot & riba I have left to taper down after the 48 weeks.

Have also decided to use the alternate injection method to maximize the amount of interferon I get between now and EOT, started that Friday night.  Feeling fine today, 2nd day post shot.

Noticed it's easy to give up in my head.  Getting so tired, thinking it's all over anyway so why bother, just doing the bare minimum but that's not the way to win, is it?  It's never too late and it's not over until I hear those 3 letters - SVR!.

Have been feeling fearful lately but yesterday realized I need to NOT focus on the fear, rather focus on how great it is that I have been UND for so long now and think of positive strategies to encourage and strengthen my body's immune response in preparation for EOT.  Will post in the forum for ideas on supplements, vitamins etc.

Also, Nurse doesn't seem to think I need to go back to full dose as with my current weight loss the reduction has put me on the perfect wight based amount.  I'll decide that after my week 44 results are in, which include a VL as well.  Strange.  And another one at EOT.  Then nothing till 3 months post.  Have asked if I can get a 4 weeks post PCR.

So glad the end is almost in sight...

Epi, it's so close you can almost TOUCH it!!!!   How sweet!!! We'll all be here cheering you from the sidelines...

You know, we post so much about the problems early in tx, but I think alot could be said for the challenges we're faced with in the last weeks, both physically and emotionally. I really hope these next five weeks go by quickly for you and as uneventfully as possible. Hang in there!!! Pam

I'm so happy for your "closeness to the end" of your TX!!

What is the alternate injection method?  Maybe I'll go google it.
