I never have a kid and could not wait for one. We try to conceive more than 2 yrs. Failed 3 un-medicine IUIs, cancel 4th IUI due to hyper-stimulate. I'm going to try the first IVF on Feb.,2008.

Hi, How are you holding up? My 2nd IVF was on March 17th... also a BFN! I know your frustration! Yes, some people have gone back to try IUI after BFN IVFs. It really depends on your issues. I have high FSH levels so it is best we try IVF again since my ovaries are not producing high quality eggs. Not to mention cycle #3 with my RE is free. I went home early today from work. I got AF and she is a B! this month!
Was this your first IVF? I have heard that often the 1st one doesn't take in most cases b/c your body is like what the hell? It doesn't know what to do with the embryo/ blast. and all of those meds can be confusing. Remember IVF is not a natural process at all. The 2nd and 3rd tries are typically more successful ( I hope!)
I hope you are feeling better! A bottle of wine and sushi made me feel a lot better!!! 8-)

I just read your post.... if it is male factor and your husband has switched pills, maybe IUI is worth trying again. Has your DH been through all of the testing??? Ask your RE about SCSA (Fragmentation test) to see if that is a factor.
Also I would highly recommend you both take fertility blend. They have one for Woman and one for men. My RE highly recommends it!

I am sorry you did not get the news you were looking for. I hope you continue to try and not allow this set back to keep you away from your dreams. Relax, meditate, pray, scream, cry, whatever you need. Just don't give up. We have all been there. We stick together and keep each other encouraged. So.......be encouraged and know that you will survive this and will get your desire soon...a BFP!

Thank you so much for your support. I feel better now. Maybe I'll break for 3 months before going back to the second IVF. My RE doesnt want me to do IUI at the first place, but If I want he would do so. We have very low sperm count and motility and i'm 37 yr old, he believes IUI wont work in my case since only about 5-10% rate in pregnancy. He recommend us to take fertility vitamin which is about couple hundred dollar for 3 months as I remember, but he would said be honest, not really help much...........all just advertise.....since there is nothing to improve sperm count in realitty that why's we're wonam got to go thru this painful IVF process since the problem is not actually from us.

I don't know if you are checking in anymore but there is a Fertility Blend for both woman and men. That with the combo of acupuncture (both of you) there is a chance for better quality sperm and eggs. I have a transfer tomorrow (#3) but #2 had way better quality in both myself and my DH as compared to IVF#1. The fertility blend can be purchased at a pharmacy or online. It was $38/ bottle. Wouldn't hurt. Good luck.
