I gave birth via c-section on May 10th. 6lbs 13oz 19 1/2 " long. Perfect baby girl. She had a head full of black hair where we are not sure it came from.
She started to sleep through the night at 3 weeks. 9pm to 6am. Perfect infant.
On October 8th our world changed forever. It will be "hopefully" the worst day of my life for the rest of my life. Our baby passed out in her father's arms with no warning. When trying to wake her - her eyes would roll. An ambulance was called and she was admitted to the hospital for 4 days. It was ruled a Febrile seizure but after 2 more of the same episodes further testing was ordered and completed by the best hospital in the nation CHOP. She had 4 months of testing and the end result is Reflux along with Asthma. Airway issues and food digestion issues caused her to seize and turn blue. Since being medicated she has been fine. I owe that hospital my life. I learned you have to literally fight to get help for your child. The hospitals the ambulance would take me too would have to be the closest and not very good. I literally had to punch a wall and say some non kid friendly words in the ER during the last episode to get the help I needed. My advise to mom's BEAT PEOPLE UP. Use your own judgment you are always right when it comes to your child. I don’t care if you have a PhD or a GED. (by the way I fall in the middle there - haha)
Once my daughter was stable I took her to CHOP and then came the answers.
During this process she had to see neurology who were very impressed with her advancement. Not worried at all and no damage done. THANK GOD.
Eva sat up on her own at 4 months
Walked at 7 months
Crawled at 9 months
Said basic words between 5 months and 7 months (mom, mom mom, da da, pop pop and bob) She will now repeat anything you say at 10 months. She can also say the alphabet up to the letter E.
She does not eat many solids due to my choice. She also wants no parts of a sippy cup so lets see if I can update good news on that soon.
Baby #2 is being thought about now.
