hi everyone...well, i encountered this site in efforts to become more informed about my pain regarding my spine.
I'm a 23 year old female who was in a car accident 5 months ago. I have really bad pain in two area of my spine, lumbar and thoracic. To be brief, the comclusions from my MRI are 1mm central posterior disk protrusions at the T5-T6, T6-T7, and T7-T8 levels indenting the anterior aspect of the thecal sac. the, there is a disk desiccation with suggestion of an annular fissure and 3mm mostly central posterior disk protrusions at L5-S1 level making contract withthe anterior sapect of the thecal sac. I don't know what any of this means, but I need and want to know what this really means in plain English because whatever this is, it is causing me sooo much pain. The doctor that is treating me makes it seem like my pain is too severe to be cause by some thing like this. He even said that my MRI "looks okay." What do I know, I'm not the doctor. So, please, I need some help understanding this and how it can affect me for the rest of my life if it will or how I can make it better. A damsel in distress.
