Vertigo-round and Nausea

Mar 28, 2008 07:57PM - 0 comments

So the world is spinning again. It's been 10 or so months since I've had a good bout of vertigo that lasted several days. I'm on day 4 now, and it's going opposite to it's norm. Usually it starts off BAD, and after 2 or 3 days it eases up, and by day 4 or 5 it goes away. This time it eased on, and now, at day 4, it's at it's worst.

I'm nauseated, spinning, and exhausted (even after a 2.5 hour nap today).

Well, the good news is, at least I see the new neuro on Wednesday.  In the mean time, I suppose I'll just keep taking Gravol to get through the nausea. Maybe, just maybe I'll go into the clinic tomorrow and ask for Domperidone. I used it when I was nursing my older daughter, to increase milk, but when I had my worst yet bout of vertigo (when she was a week or 2 old) I had NO associated nausea, and there should have been for sure. Domperidone is actually used to treat nausea, with the side effect of producing more milk in lactating moms, so hopefully the taps won't turn back on, but really, even if they do, it's better than that sick feeling.

I also have seemingly independant bouts of nausea, for no apparent reason. Anyone else?

Christine
