I'm writing to tell my story as it folds because I know someone out there is in my shoes, and going through the same thing. I'm going to keep updating so anyone who may share a similar experience can see what is happening with me and hopefully get something out of it, or give me advice. I like to share my knowledge, and help people..so here's the story so far. March 29, 2009 I forgot my birth control (first girls night out in a LOOOOONG time lol). I took it the next day but my husband and I had unprotected sex. I know the possibility of getting pregnant is little to none, but there's still a possibility. So I stopped taking it. My next pill would have been day ten of a three week active pill, one week non-active pill regimen. So, I know it was stupid now, after researching, that I stopped mid-cycle because I may have thrown off my body. Two days later I started, what I assume, a withdrawal bleed which ended, I think, today. I'm hoping for my period to start around the time it was supposed to which is in sixteen days. I am also hoping shortly after that I will ovulate. I had no clue whatsoever that my birth control prevents ovulation. I've never been on birth control, and didn't fully understand how it worked. My doctor offered no advice, just left to check what kind they had and returned only for a quick pop in to say my prescription was sent to the pharmacy, where they instructed me on when to take it only. So, yes I could have asked the pharmacist, and hind sight is always 20-20...I don't know if I will try to get pregnant the first time I ovulate or the next. I returned to my husband after a four week leave, and got pregnant on or around two days later with my first son, who is now nine months...yes I know some of you may think I'm crazy for wanting another so soon, but he will be at least a year and a half-two years when I deliver, hopefully, and my husband and I decided we are ready for baby number two, we can handle it, and have given it a lot of thought. So that is my story so far and I will be on leave again for a week or so leaving in two days...I will keep you updated, and any advice is more than welcome.
