Yesterdays Surgery

May 24, 2013 - 10 comments

So it apprears I have Interstitial cystitis.  This is mainly what's causing all of my pain.  I would've never in a million years thought it would be my bladder :S.  He said my ovaries are smooth and look great, they found 2 spots of Endo and he removed a small tumor off of one of my ovaries. Not sure yet, i'll find out in a week at my appointment.  The tumor had a small spot on it and he's doing a biopsy of it all.  He's going to put me on birth control for the pain for a little while (which is good while we're trying to get DH's count up) plus until he gets with the urologists to see what to do for this bladder disease.  I am still in shock to hear that most of this was the cause of my bladder.  He said most women can hold 600-700 cc's of fluid and after filling mine 3 different times during surgery he couldn't get it to hold no more than 300cc's and that was even being sedated.  How crazy is that??  Ugh!  So thankful HE found what was causing all my problems.  I pray no more surgery..the anethesia(sp) they use really mess me up.  I was soo nauseous and this was after them giving me something for nausea during, they even put the sea sick patch behind my ear and when I woke up I was still throwing up and had to have a phenagrin(sp) suppository.  I was soo groggy.  So thankful it's all over with.. No on to hopefully finding how to treat this and getting better.  Thank you ALL so much for the prayers and support.  I'm blessed!!

Oh and this gas in my ribs and shoulder is killing me!! Is there something I can do for this?  I've been trying to walk as much as possible to get it to shift or go away, but it's not working.  I can't even lay down in the recliner without the gas around my ribs feeling like it's suffocating me :S.

Thanks so much!

This IS never ending. :(

I had the gas pain with the ectopic removal I had.  The only thing that really helped was heat. I used a heating pad.  The gas moved up slowly and out but my shoulder took the brunt of the pain.

Glad you've got an answer. I hope you get it all fixed and can move on.  Good Luck!

Thanks so much TTC and Louise!!

I'm so glad to have finally put a reason to this problem.  All of this time I kept worrying with "female" problems to finally find out this bladder disease or whatever it is, is the reason.

DH did have awful AWFUL sperm. He had less than 2 million and 80'% of those were bad morphology and motility.  Urlogists has him on Clomid for the time being.  We go back in July for a repeat SA and go from there.  In the meantime the dr. is going to put me on birth control to help with some of my pain and to figure out what I'll have to take/do for this bldader stuff...and praying we get dh's count up, come off the pill and get pregnant.  Thank you both so much again!!

So glad you finally have an answer to the pain. Hopefully now there's a plan for treatment! Praying your biopsy comes back normal to. As for the gas I had it in my ribs to and nothing I did helped. Hope it goes away soon!

I'm so relieved to read that they have figured out what's causing your pain. Sorry to hear about the gas and the bad anesthesia reaction! What a nightmare! :( Praying for a negative result from the biopsy! Feel better soon! Sending big hugs!!!

Oh my gosh those gas bubbles are TERRIBLE!! I had one right in my shoulder when I had my son and I think it was honestly worse than the pain of my c-section, heat definitely helped mine. Ask your doctor because I'm pretty sure there is something they can give you for that too. And the anesthesia during my surgery made me SUPER nauseous too, even with the medicine to prevent nausea. I hope you feel better and praying this is a start to your BFP soon!!

Thank yall soo much! Today is 3rd day and I feel like crap!  My stomach is soo sore and hurting a little, still haven't gotten rid of this gas (although it's a little better),it's still in my ribs and shoulder,  I can't lay down without it feeling like it's suffocating me. I'm taking the Gas-X, praying that helps.
They gave me plenty for nausea.  During the surgery, right after the surgery, I had the sea sick patch on before surgery and then had to have a phenagrin(sp) suppository.  It was heII. :(  That's twice now, both surgeries I have woken up like that and I promise after both of them being that way, I NEVER want to be put to sleep again.   Today is weird, I feel kinda shakey, tired from not getting much sleep BUT I think I'm about to start again.  I'm not due for another 10-11 days and when I go potty when I wipe it's has a pinkish tinge to it.   Would this throw me into AF again, so soon?  I noticed yesterday my lower stomach was crampy like AF crampy.  UGH!!  I go back Friday for my post op and see where we're going from there.  I read where they treat this bladder disease with medicine first, so praying that's all.

Thank yall soo much again!  This support and friendship means so much to me!!
