I wanted to announce the arrival of our new puppy, Bella. She is about 8 months old and we got her from a rescue shelter in NJ. She was actually from Alabama which is interesting and brought up here. She is great with the kids. Loves to lick. A little puppy biting, but nothing major. Just a big mush. Loves everything and everyone she comes in contact with which is great.
We keep her crated at night because of chewing and some accidents. For some reason last night, she started whining and crying in her crate at 2:00am. I got up and figured maybe she needs to go out. I open the crate and she starts running around playing. She grabs a toy in her mouth and runs outside with it. She does her business and then starts running around the yard to play. I am thinking -- I need to go back to sleep. Finally get her in and she is racing around the living room and playing with toys - completely wide awake. I finally get her in her crate and we don't hear from her again.
Only did this once, but I hope it does not become a habit. Anyone else have this happen?
Thanks for listening!
