I was finally able to see Dr. Witt about this burning sensation I am having. He is a very kind and thorough Dr. Like most specialists, I don't feel that he's willing to see any of my grastro problems as having a neurological cause, but I did feel that he listened and did not totally blow me off. He sent me to Urgent Care for bloodwork, and to get some IV fluids because I was so dehydrated. I did feel less tired after the IV and perhaps the blood work will find something that has yet to be identified. The dr. at Urgent Care did a swab for strep as well, and then gave me a script for thrush saying that was what it looked like to him. I barely slept last night because of the pain in my chest (esophagus), but I think the Nystatin might be doing it's job. Tomorrow I am scheduled for a barium exray thing to view and record what my digestive system is doing. Dr. Witt's last words were, "I know you want to get to the bottom of why you are unable to eat much", so I feel that he is listening, whether he agrees with the Autonomic Neuropathy idea as being a possible cause. I don't care what I have to do, I just want to know what is happening, and how to deal with it. That's the story on all of the things that are happening. I just need to know how to manage it, and I will adjust accordingly.
I also made an appointment with a Dr. at the Colorado Neurology Institute for mid- May,
