Well, upon recommendation from the doctors here on MedHelp, I have scheduled an appt with my GYN to talk about my issues and concerns with my health and TTC in the fall.  Let me give some background.  I was diagnosed with urinary reflux at age 5, and had bladder surgery in 2006 to remove a large bladder diverticulum.  I have also undergone collagen injections to help bulk up my junction where my ureter meets my bladder to decrease my reflux and UTI's.  I was also diagnosed with 4 herniated discs in my lower back (L1-3 and L4-S1).  Otherwise known as I have one good disc in my lumbar spine.  I was in pain daily from last March to January 2008 when I had a lumbar fusion on L4-S1.  I was told that without the surgery, I would never be able to carry a pregnancy due to pain, and inability to walk.  I'm doing great, just wish I could get back on my diet again.  I have become very troubled that I may have PCOS, due to the fact that my younger sister has it, and I had very irregular periods prior to going on BC pills at age 16.  I had gone to an endocrinologist at one point, and was taken off of my pills for 2 and half months, where I only had one period, then I moved and decided to just restart my pill packs.

Well, my appt is scheduled for next Tuesday at 1:00.  When I asked my DH if he was going to come with me since this may affect both of us.  My DH works for an accounting firm as their network administrator (also known as computer guy).  Well, he said that it is busy season at work, and it would be crazy the last week because of taxes and e-files.  I would totally understand if he hadn't done this little trick three times already.  I had my back surgery on Jan. 25th and my parents had to come down here (a 3 hour trip) to take me to the hospital.  Then I had two follow up appts and he asked my MIL (who I don't always get along with) to take me.  He has never even met my neurosurgeon!  And it's not like he would have to use sick time or vacation time.  And at least this appt is in the same town as where he works.  I'm sorry, maybe I just am very sensitive about this.  I practically bend over backwards so he can sleep with the television on, or do the laundry all day when I still can't bend, or put the dishes in the dishwasher when I still can't bend.  He knew I was upset about it, and tried to make it up.  He said we can go to Hershey Park this weekend and also go to a hockey game.  And he was like, if you really want me to go, I'll see what I can do.  ARGH!  I think I'm almost at my end of my rope.  I have to tell him things multiple times to get them done, and then I just end up doing them because I get so frustrated that it's not getting done.  I told him that I'm becoming a nag, and he said well you need to be to get me to do things, and this is what happens when your mom does everything for you.  Another reason why I can't stand my MIL!  Maybe we're not ready for a child.  More like maybe he's not ready.  I had to talk him into it last September, and then my back got worse and I couldn't get off of my pain meds.  Ugg, just so frustrating!
