Good News

I went to OHSU and saw the movement disorder specialist.  I DO NOT have MS or Parkinsons..  YEAH.... I do have a neurotransmitter disorder.. I am not sure what that means since it is a condition that is just now being recognized by the medical field.  It used to be that people like me with no obvious medical cause for their symtems were labled nuts. etc.  Now they are starting to recognize that neurotransmitter problems are to blame for alot of it.  The only know treatment is to try out drugs that effect neortransmitters like anti-depressants..  It made me feel like they were saying I was depressed and that is why I have this physical problem..  But the Dr. assured me that was not what he was saying.   Anyway since I am going through fertility treatment right now I will have to wait to start any drugs untill after.  Thanks for all the support.. Well, I wish you all the luck and many blessings during this time.  I know this can be stressful in itself, but the treatment the doc was suggesting is used for several different needs.  I take Lyrica for the neuropathy in my feet and it is labeled as an anti-depressant, but used for my case and other treatments.  I do not have problems with depression, just the neuropathy and back issues.  The is helping me allot, though the side affects are not good.
