A new start!

Well I've found this sight and I think it's going to help me.I'm due to see my GP tomorrow!!not holding out too much hope because he tends to say everything due either to my Fibro or Arach and that nothing can be done with those "problems"! anyway.I'll have to ask about my foot though because my toes bleeding and so sore and dragging me down. It's been an awful start to 08.First  I lost my darling Boxer dog Harry who'd been my costant companion for 9 years,he was suddenly diagnosed with a brain tumour inOctober and died 19th January. Then a week later we had a burst water pump on the bath and it flooded 2 rooms, hall and corridor. We've had 10 weeks of drying out and no carpets etc and had to have skirting boards and flooring replaced.I'm very tired but trying to keep possitive.I think because I've had Fibro and Arach for so long (since 86)people think I should be used to it but as we all know new symptoms keep cropping up and make you feel as if we're going backwards.
So joining this forum and website will help me feel as if I'm doing something,as I say in my profile you can feel very very lonely with both Fibro AND Arach.I've always said I'm going to grow old as disgracefully as possible,I just want to feel well enough to still do that!! I'll be so glad when tomorrows over and my GP visit too!

I have Fibro and Agoraphobia. Not much can be done for agor. except therapy....etc, etc! But there is a new medication out for fibro. called Lyrica. My dr. prescribed it for me and even though it doesn't stop all of the pain, I can tell a difference. You might mention it to your GP and see what he/she says. God bless and good luck.
