Today my son was acting up more than ever. He really started getting to me. I love my son with all my heart but there are days when I think that Im not fit for this. Some time I ask my self why? Why me? Why did god had to punish me. But then when we go to sleep and azre laying in bed I tyhank him for sending him to me.

Nobody's ever fit for this.  Not even professional psychologists!  It has nothing to do with God nor punishment.  Didn't Mary send out some kind of "Amber Alert" and found her boy running off to the temple to debate some old guys?

I agree with my dad. Don't be so hard on yourself. I don't know if you came here from google (while conducting a search), or followed the links I gave from the autism speaks forum, but either way, if you just follow those negative dry statements posted those places, no wonder you are depressed!

One of the mottos I've come up with is: Autism is like Europe. The dry textbooks you read in high school, though informative, don't give you much information. If you really want to know what Europe is like, go over there, visit Europe and talk with people who've livbed there all their lives. That will give you more insite to Europe than those textbooks ever will.

Same thing with autism. I highly suggest you get connected with autistic people and talk with them. Coming here and meeting my adad and I is a good start. There's also the wrongplanet.net forum to lurk.

Yep, I would recommend getting up close with the natives (so to speak).  Couldn't wish to meet a lovelier bunch of people and helps you keep things in perspective.
Being a single mum with an autistic child must be hard.  Is there any family to help take the strain occasionally??  I found a lovely shop (called IKEA), who had a free creche service (that you could pre-book for special ed kids).  You could use the service for an hour.  He loved it there.  I sat in the cafe with a magazine and regained my sanity.
