Peripheral Neuropathy

Now seems like a good time to start a journal.  Tomorrow I'm off to be tested again for Sjogren's.  Strange as it sounds, I hope I have it.  Almost all the other causes of small fiber neuropathy have been ruled out.  At least if it's Sjogren's, it can be treated.  My symptoms have gotten progressively worse over the past 7.5 years, and I've added a lot of new ones recently, so there's no way it's a stable case of nerve damage.  Something is continuing to destroy my nerves, and if the docs don't find a cause, they'll all be gone eventually, which I think is VERY, VERY BAD.  Of course, even if it is Sjogren's and I get treatment, I'm told the nerves may continue to die off.  Still, it's a better chance than if they don't find the underlying cause at all.  Then I'm almost guaranteed the nerves are gone.

I was looking up infor for someone else on Sjogren's and ran across this journal.  I know this is over a year old, but what did they find out.  How are you doing.  So sorry to hear of the problems you are having.  Praying for you,Kara
