cyst in the brain

My friend who is 15 years old has experienced severe headache at different times during the day for the past 4 days and no other symptoms. Typically the pain starts late in the night and stays till afternoon and for rest of the day there is no pain. Doctor advised for CT scan and have found a cyst in the ventricles. What is the best cure for it and is that cyst the cause for headache?
