I found out I had HCV in 2001 following an auto accident and 2 surgeries later. I live in Ohio and have been in Nursing since 1989. I have never had a needle stick and in the past 8 yrs I've had 8 major surgeries. I have always refused a blood transfusion and I'm dumdfounded as to the source of my Hep C infection. Guess I'll never know. I have 4 grown children and 2 grandchildren. I just found out I have geno II and am waiting for meds to be delivered on my doorstep. I appreciate having people to talk to who have already traveled this road of uncertainty and I wish you all well. Thank God there are shoulders to lean on and people with a voice who are going through or completed this journey. So give yourselves a thumbs up or a high five or something because your knowledge will lift spirits and help many get through all this.
